Housing Counselor

Community Service Council of Northern Will County (CSC) is a non-profit counseling agency with a 43 year history of serving the community. CSC provides clinical counseling services as well as housing and financial counseling services. We are looking to fill a Housing Counselor position with an individual who is looking to be part of a growing organization and ready to accept the challenges that come along with that growth.

The Housing Counselor is responsible for all areas relating to housing & financial counseling. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of the client relationship. As a HUD certified housing counseling agency, CSC expects and encourages ongoing professional development of its counselors. The applicant should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products. The Housing Counselor will report directly to the Director of Housing & Financial Counseling.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Direct client management through resolution of the case.
  • Documentation of all client interactions meeting various reporting requirements.
  • Prepare client specific plans of action to resolve the issue at hand and meet the client’s goals.
  • Ability to provide classroom type presentations.
  • Flexibility to work some evening hours and some Saturdays.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma, Bachelors degree is a plus.
  • Must have HUD certification or achieve certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast -pace setting.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to self-motivate and experience working independently.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet required deadlines.
  • Bi-lingual a plus.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Housing Client Intake Specialist

We are looking to fill a Housing Client Intake Specialist position with an individual who is looking to be part of a growing organization and ready to accept the challenges that come along with that growth.

The Housing Client Intake Specialist is responsible for supporting the efforts of our Housing Counselor staff. This individual will be the first point of contact for our housing clients. As a HUD certified housing counseling agency, CSC expects and encourages ongoing professional development of its employees. Applicants should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products. The Housing Client Intake Specialist will report directly to the Director of Housing & Financial Counseling.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Direct client contact on a daily basis.
  • Data entry of client information.
  • Compiling client information from multiple sources.
  • Setting client appointments.
  • Working with the Housing Counselors in support of the clients.
  • Updating and generation of promotional materials.
  • Flexibility to work some evening hours and some Saturdays.

  • High School diploma.

Social Worker

Community Service Council of Northern Will County (CSC) is a non-profit counseling agency with a 43 year history of serving the community. CSC provides clinical counseling services as well as housing and financial counseling services. We are looking to fill a Social Worker position with an individual who is looking to be part of a growing organization and ready to accept the challenges that come along with that growth.

The Social Worker Provides innovative prevention and intervention services to clients in accordance with agency policies, and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Responsible for administering CSC counseling prevention/intervention programs, which addresses anger management, depression, domestic violence, substance abuse, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director to ensure the implementation and delivery of clinical services for every client.
  • Conducts individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
  • Provides a monthly status report to the Clinical Director indicating if the number of clients, number of open cases, and the number of closed cases.
  • Sets short/long term and future goals for each client.
  • Works with other therapists in co-facilitating goal setting and treatment plans for clients when needed.
  • Maintains case files and records.
  • Provide quarterly reports to external agencies as required.
  • Complete a Closure Summary Report for each client. This report provides a history of treatment goals accomplished, psychological assessments, therapist’s recommendations, and total number of sessions.
  • Reports to the courts as needed.
  • Attends monthly staff meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Licensed Social Worker.
  • Must be able to work with diverse socioeconomic and ethnic groups effectively.
  • Possess a sense of urgency and good problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrate the highest level of integrity and confidentiality based on working with very personal and sensitive issues.
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High morals and standards.
  • Limited supervision. Responsible for setting objectives, treatment plans, and meeting the requirements to fulfill the needs of every client.
